Lakritz Comic

As part of my one-week long university project, my teacher came up with the theme “Liquorice”. We can do anything with this one word. I decided to use this typical German confectionery to talk about something just as typical for a foreigner in Germany: racism. This comic does not only talk about the out-right slur that was used, rather the unspoken, in-the-background that many BIPoC feel when they navigate through a white-dominate space. Read it below.
