For this university project, I wanted to make a minimalist magazine for the northern land of Japan, Hokkaido. Hokkaido has its own rich history and culture as well as its own struggle, namely of its Indigenous people, the Ainu people. This magazine was meant to tell the tale of both the beautiful and ugly side of the area.
